Sungei Buloh Trip

I'm still physically tired from this morning's trip but I have the urge to quickly blog it before I forgets.

Heart-shape leaves

Sungei Buloh wetland reserves is one of the last piece of untouched grounds of Singapore. Mangrove forest now only takes up 10% of Singapore lands and all the conservationists are keeping this part of nature alive. It has now a govt-recognised protected area, and I was glad the people up there heard us.

Sea Hibiscus on the forest floor

I've always wanted to go to Sungei Buloh natural reserves, not because it's one of the place in my home country I haven't been to, but also this place is like another world that seems to never cease to amaze me.

Heron

It's quite a shame when I realised that it was not the bird-watching season where the migratory birds would have their "pit-stop" here during the northern winter months, but being able to learn the names of some of the resident birds were a big bonus to me..

Mudskipper

Of course, I can't help but to take pictures that look funny to me thou. Like this one above.
I have the narration of him in my mind.
"Puddle." pause. "MINE!"

Mud crabs mating
Or some animal "pornography".
Steamy~

Monitor Lizard

Another one.
"I'm the King of the W-o-r-l-d!!!!"
*Sees me*
"Whatcha u looking?!?!?"

Another mudskipper

Of course there are other interesting perspectives. I love this one where the mudskipper was in shallow water and has this water rim around it and other stuff in that area.

Like I've said, this place never cease to interest me. Although I wasn't able to finish the whole park, it's one place I would definitely go back again when I have the chance and time.
Another interesting event in my life. :)
