I went to Old Chang Kee Factory last week as a NUS staff for an industrial tour with our latest batch of summer students to learn about the behind story of this famous small proud Singapore business; following the theme on a multi-cultural food experience for the summer students.
The small but modest factory hides the secret to these delicious curry puffs that are sold at their 75 outlets islandwide. In their beautiful action, filling up the pastries with yummy curry filling to kneadinng that signature weave on the crescent curry puff, it was very interesting to see them work behind the thick glass doors.
After a brief tour and talk by the CEO, we got to eat that yummy curry puff fresh from the belt and the fryer.
